Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and update medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and administer basic life support when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
