Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, reporting any changes or concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, progress, and care plans accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong patient-centered approach.
