Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and ensure a safe environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
