Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and vital signs.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Commitment to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
