Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to changes in condition or potential emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide clear and empathetic patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Maintain a sterile environment and strictly follow infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse patients and families.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
