Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities, including clinical documentation and shifts, in a timely and precise manner.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving interventions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment in compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
