Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards of practice.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, promptly identifying and reporting any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions to promote health literacy and recovery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical rotations to enhance nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications may be required based on specialty.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
