Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Provide personal care services such as feeding, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises to patients with limited mobility.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on patient conditions and address concerns.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following established safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of patient rooms and medical equipment for procedures or examinations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical personnel.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for patient care and well-being.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as necessary.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet patient needs.
