Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
  • Provide personal care services such as feeding, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises to patients with limited mobility.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on patient conditions and address concerns.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following established safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of patient rooms and medical equipment for procedures or examinations.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Colorado.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical personnel.
