Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
