Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in diverse clinical settings including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and preventive care measures
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred based on assignment
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
