Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing health assessments to monitor patient conditions and response to treatment.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, vital signs, and changes in condition.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing critical patients.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Washington (WA).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems (EMR) and medical equipment.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated compassion, integrity, and a strong desire to learn in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
