Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, progress, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with patient education, explaining treatment procedures and answering medical questions.
- Respond to patient emergencies and critical situations with composure and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures efficiently.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong desire to improve patient outcomes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (as required by facility policy).
