Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and recovery progress, reporting any changes immediately to the nursing team.
- Assist physicians and healthcare staff during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict accordance with established safety protocols and physician orders.
- Document accurate and timely patient medical histories, assessments, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
