Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
- Valid, unlicensed RN license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Diploma or Associate degree accepted.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required.
- Computer proficiency with EHR systems.
