Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assessing health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and reactions accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in critical care situations.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required (may be obtained during onboarding).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
