Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients to develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff or physicians immediately.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic and effective patient treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, observations, and interventions in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for new hires.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Adaptability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
