Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and medical histories.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in critical care interventions as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas (KS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
