Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (MedSurg/ICU preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC experience a plus)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
