Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare protocols and state regulations.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and medical histories accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical procedures and recovery.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and perform basic life support as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Ohio (and Illinois if applicable).
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, and lifting tasks for extended periods.
