Responsibilities
- Assess patient health concerns, history, and needs to develop a comprehensive care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in strict adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, documenting all changes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving measures when necessary.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or relevant nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
