Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients using critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records with precision
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in medical-surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to manage complex patient cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
