Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse clinical settings including medical-surgical, telemetry, and critical care units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to treatment using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); PALS or TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
