Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit setting
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and medication reactions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient observations and interventions in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care techniques
- Adhere to JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience (new graduates welcome with externship)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
