Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, history taking, and symptom analysis to determine nursing diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and the patient/family.
- Monitor patient progress continuously and make timely adjustments to care plans to ensure optimal recovery and comfort.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, home care, and preventative health strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
