Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, procedures, and outcomes.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
