Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, monitor vital signs, and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations with confidence and composure.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Oklahoma.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (Med/Surg or Telemetry background).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required. NIHSS certification preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records.
