Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient progress, escalating critical issues immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing (or compact state license).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients up to 50 lbs as necessary.
