Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Assess patient health needs and implement the appropriate nursing care plan, including medication administration and treatment execution.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and health status, promptly identifying and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and effective patient treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and responses to treatments.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations during the night shift to ensure patient safety.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-care instructions and health maintenance to promote recovery and prevent readmission.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting (medical-surgical or critical care preferred).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
