Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission and throughout the shift to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.
- Critical Care Response: Rapidly respond to medical emergencies and acute changes in patient conditions, utilizing advanced clinical judgment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and observations.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Support & Education: Provide emotional support to patients and families while educating them on health management and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in New York (NY) and/or North Carolina (NC).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-paced night shift environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
