Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and medication reconciliation.
- Clinical Care: Provide direct patient care, including wound care, vital sign monitoring, and hygiene assistance, ensuring the highest standard of comfort.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient progress, interventions, and responses to treatment in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients and families.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited Nursing Program (ASN, BSN, or Diploma).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Georgia (or willing to obtain).
- Entry Level: No prior experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS preferred.
