Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and documenting accurately.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, interpret findings, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and positive patient experiences.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to stabilize patients.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, infection control protocols, and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective care plans.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems; specific experience with Epic or Cerner is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
