Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes in condition immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care at home.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
