Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, promptly reporting changes in patient condition.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
