Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, promptly reporting changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
