Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and document patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress to ensure safety and effective recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop optimal care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan (or compact state eligible for Ohio).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates welcome with relevant internship).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
