Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, escalating concerns immediately to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and continuous patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound clinical judgments under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary to perform job duties.
