Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient needs, administer medications, and implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor Health Status: Continuously monitor vital signs and report any changes or adverse reactions to the healthcare team immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; new graduates are considered with relevant clinical rotations.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care.
