Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop/modify individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and accurately document patient progress and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care support when needed.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Part-time availability with the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
