Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and administer prescribed medications safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Document patient care services, symptoms, progress, and outcomes in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies with critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
