Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and document assessments accurately in electronic health records
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and self-care management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control standards
- Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license with willingness to transfer)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred for ER roles)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in hospital setting
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
