Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to changes in clinical condition.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting (ICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients weighing up to 250 pounds as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
