Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate life-saving measures.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates welcome).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
