Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and colleagues alike.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
