Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions, escalating concerns to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in compliance with safety protocols.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota (or compact state license).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
