Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA/JCAHO compliance standards
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Mentor new staff and contribute to a positive work culture
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or compact license with CA endorsement)
- BSN degree strongly preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred based on unit
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
