Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond swiftly to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the District of Columbia Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masterβs preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
