Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Mentor new staff and participate in weekend-specific quality initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
- Coordinate patient discharges and transitions of care on weekends
Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday)
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environments
