Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute/critical care settings during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician orders
- Monitor patient status using electronic health records and assess response to interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in emergency response protocols and rapid assessment situations
- Mentor new staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for specialty units
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health records system
- Demonstrated critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing clinical scenarios
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
