Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and personal care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care services, including changes in patient condition, medications administered, and treatments performed.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and code blue situations.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred).
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- CPR (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
