Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, reporting any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond to emergencies with composure, following hospital emergency response protocols.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or hospital experience is strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records (EMR) efficiently.
