Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across diverse units including ICU, ER, and Surgical Services
- Implement evidence-based nursing practices and maintain precise medical documentation
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians and specialists
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict compliance with JCAHO and NY State health regulations
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered
- BLS/ACLS certifications maintained per hospital policy
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency with Epic or Cerner systems
- Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy and ethical practice
